HORSES FOR HEALING
Relax...Strengthen...Focus Your Mind & Body
an equine assisted activities program offered FREE OF CHARGE
for those living with cancer AND Parkinson’s Disease
THE GOAL:
This FREE experience is to help you rebuild your physical, emotional, and mental well-being so that you have the potential to better recover your health and remain healthy.
Whether you are currently living with
cancer or Parkinson’s Disease, time spent
bonding with horses can be a wonderful way to aid in your journey bringing you joy, helping you to relax, and to feel less stressed.
You will experience all aspects of horse care, grooming, leading and riding as you earn the respect of and build a relationship with our kind and gentle horses and ponies.
After your FREE 6-week session: Continue to ride in our H4H 2.0 program as we affectionately call it at a reduced rate.
the BENEFITS:
Adaptive horseback riding provides both physical and emotional benefits through learning new skills, and interacting with horses, peers, and volunteers. Riding helps
to develop balance and coordination and requires good body awareness. Through weekly lessons, your stability and coordination will improve, helping you to communicate with the horse and positively impact your daily life.
your team:
You will be in the capable hands of our Mane Stream instructors, who are all PATH Intl. Certified and have strong backgrounds in horsemanship. They are all trained in First Aid and CPR. A key element of the Horses for Healing team are our specially trained volunteers, many of whom have their own cancer journeys. They will ensure you feel safe and at ease.

AREN'T FEELING WELL?
We encourage you to attend each session
as activities can be matched to your capabilities. Even if participants arrive not
feeling 100% they continually state that they leave the farm feeling happy and accomplished.
We recognize your unique situation and provide a healthy outlet for both children and adults, enabling you to move away from the medical context and into a naturally engaging environment.
