April is Parkinson's Awareness Month

"Daily life is tremendously challenging both emotionally
and physically."

That's why Mane Stream expanded the FREE Horses for Healing program to people living with Parkinson's Disease. Six weeks of Horses for Healing can help participants get in the right mindset to "positively impact your daily life". Last summer, Wendy participated in the inaugural session and loved it so much that she's continued riding in the H4H 2.0 program!

"I cannot thank you enough! Managing Parkinson's on a daily basis is tremendously challenging both emotionally and physically. When we are diagnosed, we are told to 'live life' as fully as possible for as long as we are able. Your program is the kind of gem that I have been seeking. The respectfully supportive environment created by Kelly and the volunteers was perfectly challenging, uplifting, and immensely joyful! I am very excited to continue riding in the fall. It's truly the highlight of my year! I am so very grateful."

Do you know someone who could benefit from time spent at Mane Stream?
Share the news about Horses for Healing: Parkinson's. Next session begins later this spring.

Holiday Wishlist Makes 2024 A LITTLE BrightER

On Letter Writing Day, December 7th, our team helped the herd write letters to Santa. The compiled wishlist was diverse, ranging from laundry detergent to Pine-Sol, with salt licks, Farriers Formula, winter blankets, and therapy toys in between.

Within hours of launch, the items began to disappear from the Amazon Wish List. Horse-loving volunteers, former horse mamas, and Mane Stream participants were definitely in the holiday spirit.

After returning from the holiday break, we were thrilled to see how much the pile had grown. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who purchased an item, making the year 2024 a little brighter for us!

WISHLIST DONORS
Cynthia Barkman, Barbara Burke, Connor and Madison Flanagan, Nancy Grossweiler, Leroy Hunninghake, The Iglesias Family, The Kapp Family, The Nacamuli Family, Jo-Ann & Myla Schultz, Karen Vogt, and a couple of mystery donors!
